THE NURSERY
O Berçário
Wendy, John and Michael Darling live in a lovely house in London.
Wendy, John e Michael Darling moram numa linda casa em Londres.
They have got a big, sunny nursery.
Eles têm um grande e ensolarado berçário.
There are colourful pictures and a big clock on the wall.
Tem fotos coloridas e um grande relógio na parede.
There are toys here and there.
Tem brinquedos aqui e lá.
The Darlings are a happy family.
Os Darling são uma família feliz.
Mr. Darling and Mrs. Darling love their children very much.
Sr. e Sra. Darling amam muito seus filhos.
Wendy is the first child, John is the second and Michael is the third.
Wendy é a primeira filha, John é o segundo e Michael é o terceiro.
The children's nanny is called Nana and she is a big Newfoundland dog!
A babá das crianças se chama Nana e ela é um grande cachorro Terra-Nova.
Her kennel is in the nursery and she is a wonderful nanny.
O canil dela é no berçário e ela é uma babá maravilhosa.
She loves the children and the children love her.
Ela ama as crianças e as crianças a amam.
One evening Mr. and Mrs. Darling want to go to a dinner party.
Certa noite Sr. e Sra. querem ir a um jantar festivo.
They have their best clothes on.
Eles estão usando suas melhores roupas.
'Nana, it's time to put the children to bed,' says Mrs. Darling.
‘Nana, está na hora de colocar as crianças para dormir,’ diz a Sra. Darling.
Nana goes to the bathroom.
Nana vai para o banheiro.
She turns on the hot water for Michael's bath.
Ela liga a água para o banho do Michael.
She puts her paw in the water to check the temperature. It's perfect!

'I don't want to have a bath!' says little Michael.
‘Eu não quero tomar banho!’ diz o pequeno Michael.
But Nana is a firm nanny and Michael has his bath.
Mas nana é uma babá muito rígida e Michael toma seu banho.
Then Nana gives the children their pyjamas.
Então Nana dá os pijamas para as crianças.
Now they are ready for bed.
Agora elas estão prontas para a cama.
Mrs. Darling comes into the nursery and smiles.
A Sra. Darling entra no berçário e sorri.
'Good work, Nana! I see the children are ready for bed.' Nana wags her big tail.
‘Bom trabalho, Nana! Eu vejo que as crianças estão prontas para a cama.’ A Nana abana seu rabo grande.
Suddenly there is a noise.
De repente há um barulho.
Mrs. Darling sees a young boy outside the nursery window.
A Sra. Darling vê um menino jovem do lado de fora da janela.
She is very surprised.
Ela está muito surpresa.
Nana barks and shuts the window quickly.
A Nana late e rapidamente fecha a janela.
The boy's shadow falls on the floor.
A sombra do menino cai no chão.
The young boy flies away.
O jovem sai voando.
'Who's there?' asks Mrs. Darling.
‘Tem alguém aí?’pergunta a Sra.Darling.
She opens the window and looks outside, but she sees nothing.
Ela abre a janela e olha para fora, mas ela não vê nada.
Then she sees the boy's shadow on the floor and says, 'Poor boy, this is his shadow.
Então ela vê a sombra do menino no chão e diz, ‘Menino coitado, esta é a sombra dele.
Let's put it in the drawer.'
‘Vamos colocá-la na gaveta.’
The children are in bed.
As crianças estão na cama.
Mr. Darling takes Nana to the garden.
O Sr. Darling leva a Nana para o jardim. .
Then he goes to the sitting room and waits for Mrs. Darling.
Depois ele vai para a sala e espera pela Sra. Darling.
Mrs. Darling sings to the children and kisses them.
A Sra. Darling canta para as crianças e as beija.
She is a perfect mother.
Ela é uma mãe perfeita.
Soon the three children are sleeping.
Logo as crianças estão dormindo.
Mr. and Mrs. Darling go to their bedroom.
O Sr. e a Sra. Darling vão para seu quarto de dormir.
They put on their coats and go to the dinner party.
Eles colocam seus casacos e vão para o jantar festivo.
